We could give you all manner of technical data, but the simple fact is that when we set out to create the all-new Fluidity, we had a tough act to follow. This iconic bike had burnt itself into cyclists' memories, with a legendary smoothness – a fluidity of movement akin to driving a Bentley Continental GT through the epic hairpins on the Saint Bernard Pass between Montreux and Turin. You're not experiencing uncomfortable shoulders or how your hands wish for a different grasp on the wheel, you're completely enveloped in the thrill of the drive. Perhaps an espresso and a quick refuel, but never a thought of being done for the day because moments like this should go on forever.

There are days riding in the Yorkshire Dales, heading up the legendary climb of Grinton Bank, when the cake at Jervaulx Abbey comes immediately to mind. Swooping down the twisting road, I dive confidently into challenging corners – tires and frame working in perfect unison – safe in the knowledge that this bike will hold the line and deliver me to a favored destination. Do you remember when we used to ride here on 23c tires and rim brakes? We certainly never touched the limits we do today, when the best Belgium chocolate cake is within reach!

Cycling is a sub-culture of like-minded people looking to explore life, their surroundings and to share great memories. We recall heading out on small group rides with friends, in search of new adventures and great coffee; maybe taking in a classic alps pass, or a ride to Bourges in the heart of France, where the people look towards the informal peloton and nod their approval, and we cyclists smile back with pride.
