Our new TIME NXR frameset is a modern "pure road" performance platform that takes forward the best aspects of our legendary Alpe d'Huez lineage, delivering classic handling, modern integration, and our unrivalled carbon craftsmanship radiating outward from the frameset and reflecting the purity of the Braided Carbon Structure. Yes, the NXR has been designed for unrivalled performance on the road and to be an aesthetic ambassador too. Crafted and created in our own factory in the heart of Europe, it delivers on those aspects of cycling that you’ve been asking for.
A road bike for pure riding experiences
Firstly, and importantly, the NXR is a bike that positions the rider in a balanced, classic road posture — neither the extreme reach of an all-out race bike, nor the taller stack of an endurance frame. It’s the road position that most riders actually want: powerful, comfortable for hours, and ready to attack the moment the road turns skyward. It’s a bike that wants to ride with you as you head out of Masham and turn towards the iconic climbs of Pen Hill, Buttertubs and Grinton Bank in Wensleydale, before swooping back down for coffee and croissants at the Café on the Square.
For us and our team of industry-leading artisans, the NXR represents cycling clarity and climbing excellence, carrying forward our iconic legacy. Every aspect of the new frameset has been thought out in minute detail, from the particular weave of our proprietary Dyneema and Kevlar enhanced Braided Carbon Structure and its varying thicknesses and requirements at different points on the frameset, to the newly crafted fork design, able to take those bigger tires and deliver on rider comfort. NXR is built around road tires up to 32mm, the sweet spot where the professional peloton has converged. The frame also integrates a SRAM UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) as standard. Combined with fully internal routing and full electronic-groupset compatibility, NXR is built for whatever you ride today and whatever comes tomorrow.

Pure road design - born from Alpe d'Huez
For years the Alpe d’Huez has been TIME’s performance road benchmark — the bike our engineering team has refined, tested, and trusted across thousands of riders, races, and endless epic mountain passes. The new NXR inherits that engineering directly, sharing the production process, the materials, and the European manufacturing. We set out to create a bike that punches decisively above its category. And, with the newly designed elements merged with the tried and tested, the NXR does this.
Bikes should be both beautifully engineered and beautiful to look at, whilst delivering an unsurpassed ride experience. Most bikes hide their engineering and construction beneath layers of opaque paint. NXR does the opposite, because after 40 years of leading the world in creating the best carbon bikes, each bike is an ambassador for the principles set out by Rolan Cattin all those years ago. Every finish is transparent over the bare BCS braided carbon so that the layup, the fiber direction, the hand-laid transitions are all visible right through the colour.
