TIME for Something Special — Custom-Built SCYLON at the Italian Bike Festival

SISLENT unveil a joint TIME build at Misano, Italy

Every September, the world's finest high-performance bike brands gather at the Misano World Circuit in Italy. As the cycling season eases into autumn, this annual fixture on the European expo calendar gives brands their first chance to show Italian cyclists — and industry figures from around the world — what they've been working on all year, and what's coming in 2027.

This year, our friends at SISLENT, based in Barcelona, Spain, joined us to showcase their impressive range of wheels and cockpits — components that are making serious waves for this young, dynamic, premium cycling brand.

Creating a custom-built carbon dream bike

At some point, every cyclist dreams of the perfect bike. At TIME, we've been chasing that dream since 1987, working to build the ideal ride for every kind of cyclist. We believe our SCYLON hits the mark for anyone seeking that rare blend of comfort, quality and performance — and the team at SISLENT clearly agree. To showcase their own products, they built a special SCYLON for the Misano expo.

SISLENT's engineers share our passion for innovation and engineering excellence. They fitted this SCYLON with their road-specific wheelset, built to deliver on aerodynamics, durability and impact, with speed as the natural by-product of that engineering discipline. Paired with the SCYLON's own carbon fork — woven and braided with Kevlar and Dyneema — the result was a bike that became one of the focal points of Misano 2026.

Three points of contact, one uncompromising standard

A cyclist interacts with their bike at three points of contact: the pedals, the saddle, and the cockpit. With the most precisely engineered bottom bracket and carbon frameset in the world, TIME has the first two points covered. Add our forty-year reputation for building the strongest, most responsive carbon forks in the industry, and you have a serious platform for that third and final point — the cockpit.

TIME forks have set the standard for four decades, and we drew on that expertise to design an entirely new fork for the SCYLON. It cuts drag by 4% with no loss of stiffness, and clears tyres up to 32c. SCYLON is also the first TIME frameset to use two different fork offsets across the size range, so every rider gets the same consistent handling and ride quality regardless of frame size.

SCYLON was built for one purpose: pure speed. Every shape was refined through cutting-edge CFD analysis in pursuit of maximum aerodynamic efficiency, without sacrificing the comfort that makes a bike rideable for the long haul.

Engineering that delivers an unrivalled ride

The result is a 12% aerodynamic improvement over previous TIME framesets — a bike built to sit at the heart of your own perfect custom build. And a frame this capable deserves components to match, which is exactly why this build paired it with the SISLENT Aero+ handlebar. At the 2026 Italian Bike Festival, that pairing did its job, drawing attention from everyone who passed through Misano and showcasing the aero credentials of both brands.

Aero+ is a handlebar designed to turn every watt into forward motion. Machined from ultra-light carbon, it integrates form and function into one clean, precise piece — aerodynamic, quiet, and stiff exactly where it matters, giving riders absolute control at high speed and a direct feel through every turn. It's not just design. It's engineering built to go faster, with smoothness and confidence.
